Sentiment Stumped

Today I'm asking for your help in adding a sentiment to this card! LOL I like how the card looks, but it isn't easy to add a sentiment with the design I used. I thought of adding letters to the hexagons, but I tried that and didn't like it.
Anyhoo............the Cuttlebug Mania Challenge is to use a butterfly on your project and use your die-cutting machine, while Mrs. A's Butterfly challenge #53 is "T is for Texture and/or Teal." I have the texture with the hexagon embossing folder, and I used the teal color for the inserted hexes and MB butterfly die cut butterfly. I embossed the white and teal cardstocks with the same hexagone ef, and fussy cut the hexes to insert into the black panel. Yep, that's one of my favorite things to do.

I'm also sharing this over at the Snippets Playground #227 challenge which is to always use snippets.

Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a fabulous Sunday!

  2. Fantabulous card Carol! I love how you filled in the hexagons and the butterfly is gorgeous. As for a sentiment, stand well back kiddo - it's perfect as it is!

  3. Wow, your fussy cut is so accurate! The hexagons fill perfectly the embossing and the design looks very well! Love the butterfly, too!
For the sentiment: a stripe of vellum?

  6. I see you must have needed a therapy session when you created this lovely card. I do agree that the strip of vellum would work well.

  8. It just doesn't need a sentiment!!!! In cases like this I would just put the sentiment inside the card with maybe a smaller butterfly. Thankyou for playing along this week. Hugs Mrs A.

  9. A fabulous card Carol, such a brilliant design. If you really need to add a sentiment try a banner or vellum.

  13. Awesome card! To add a sentiment I'd do a thin strip (so thin greeting) down low, anchored at the left and allowed to curl up a bit across the card (but not the whole card). Put a V in the end that isn't tacked down (like a banner end). As for the greeting itself something generic like thinking of you. Or just listen to everyone else and leave the greeting for the inside.

  15. Wonderful card. I love it. Stunning. I like how you used the hexagon for the background. The butterfly is so at home with this design. Perfect. Pops right out at you and says.... BEAUTIFUL.
