Fairy Ciera

Over at Cards in Envy this week, the challenge is "Flowers and/or Fantasy." I went with the fantasy idea and created this card using a SB Fairy Ciera die. I cut the image from blush blossom cardstock and added some diamond stickles to her wings and magic wands, as well as on the SU! tulips embossed black panel. I was surprised to see how much different the glitter glue looked on the black compared to the blush.

I used a snippet of matching dsp to create the sentiment inside. Both panels were cut with SU! framelit dies and the sentiment is by Unity.

I made this with "Cards for Hospitalized Kids" in mind, and after I finished it, I had a rude awakening. DUH! They do NOT accept glitter of any kind on cards, so I'll have to use this card for someone else - perhaps one of my DGD's. The fairy was just screaming for a little sparkle, and I guess I lost my thought process for a moment there :)

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you're doing!

Carol

What a nice effect with the Stickles you made here. I really like the wing pieces you left in and sparkled up. The tulip embossing with the Stickles looks gorgeous on the black. I would have never thought to use black with the folder, but I will from this point on. Have a great week ahead.

Love that when you cut her you give her 2 wands for twice the powers! Sorry about the sparkle.

Very pretty! Like the way you've left the inlays in the wings, and added the sparkle. And this die is perfect combined with the great SU embossing folder. Like these colors a lot! TFS & Hugs

Beautiful card! I love the sparkle. Such a loss for cards for kids that you can't use it there but a great gain for whoever does end up with it. Interesting about the glitter glue. It looks darn near pink on the black.

This is really gorgeous Carol, I love the embossed edge on the black card and the way you prettied it up with the Stickles. The die cut fairy is so pretty as well, a fairy definitely needs a bit of sparkle.

What a sweet card Carol! I love the little fairy and how you glittered her up. She looks great on the oval and scalloped oval, which looks so pretty on the tulip embossing. To bad you can't send this to the kiddo's. It's easy to forget and want to glam/glitz certain imagines up! lol Hugs, Brenda
