Birthday Cards

I  wanted to create a card using this Darice Swirl Vine die cut that I've had in my doo-dad box for a while now. I pulled out a Doodlebug paper pad and found 2 snippets of DSP I liked, and put it all together with a SU! note tag punch. I paired the papers with Bermuda Blue cardstock, stamping the greeting with 3 different SU! sets, and heat-embossing the word "birthday" in white on another black snippet. I added a couple of large white embellishments I received in a blog candy package, and added a black brad to the image panel. I had another one of these die cut swirls, so I decided to make a 2nd card using some Lawn Fawn papers.

This one was made using the same design, but I added 2 SU! punched flowers with a tiny aqua gemstone in the center. The birthday sentiment is from SNSS and the ribbon is Berry Sorbet from PTI.

That's 2 more birthday cards I can add to my stash, and I've used a lot of snippets at the same time. Win win!

I'm heading over to the Snippets Playground #223 to share.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful day!

Carol

I am loving both of these cards Carol! I especially love the flourish die. Your papers are so pretty and I love that you have places your birthday wishes on a tag. You use tags so well on cards. I have a hard time with that! Hugs, Brenda

I can't decide which of these I like best! Love the design on both of them, but the different paper colors sure changes it up a lot. Yay for you on excellent use of the flourish snippet. You always come up a winner! TFS & happy week ahead. Hope none of those winds knocked out your power! Hugs

You can tell it's spring as all of us rifle through our "later" boxes to do spring cleaning! I like your name for yours better than my name for mine. Doodads is prezackly right, Carol, and you did yours up proud! I love how you showcased your snippet diecuts!! Hugs, Darnell
