Caring Hearts Card Drive for 2015

Happy World Cardmaking Day everyone!

Today is also the start of the 2015 Caring Hearts Card Drive. I donate Christmas and Holiday cards every year to this worthy cause, because they distribute them to the elderly in nursing homes. Since it's World Cardmaking day, it's a great reason to start working on some quick and easy Christmas cards to donate. The 2015 Caring Hearts Card Drive runs from October 3 through November 27th - which is the deadline for receiving all cards. You can click the link above, or click the logo on my sidebar for all the details and guidelines.

This card was made with white and metallic red card stocks. The snowflake background was embossed with a Darice ef, and the snowflake was done with a Lawn Fawn stitched snowflake die. I added a matching Crystal metallic sticker to the center. The "Merry Christmas" was done with a Kaisercraft die and that's all there was to it! I liked the way it turned out, so I made another one in blue...

I hope you'll consider sending some Christmas or Holiday cards to the 2015 Caring Hearts Card Drive too! The elderly living in nursing homes are often forgotten during the holidays, and hopefully a hand-made card will brighten their holidays.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great weekend!

Carol

WOW, Carol. WOW, WOW, WOW!! That embossing with the w-o-w snowflake is eye-popping and jaw-dropping! (Picture that!) And then the pop of color with the center and the sediment make this design spectacular!! You should get a commission on the products you used today!! So buying and so pinning! Enjoy your weekend! Hugs, Darnell

These cards are so beautiful Carol,I love the fabulously crisp white embossing, what a gorgeous EF. The coloured Christmas greeting and center embellishment add a lovely festive finish.
It sounds like a great cause to donate them to as well.

Two absolutely beautiful cards Carol for a wonderful cause. I'm sure they will bring happiness to the people who receive them.

Last year I came across a charity in the UK who send cards to the elderly who don't have families. I'm planning on starting my cards for them again shortly. Barbxx
