Christmas in May

Here's my card for the OWH sketch challenge #253. I had this Christmas sentiment circle printed and colored and sitting in my stash, so I put it to use and made a Christmas card. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, and the dsp is by Bo Bunny. I added some Cherry Cobbler ribbon, some punched mini ornaments, and embellished them with MS fern punched bits and red gemstones from Pizzazz Aplenty. Oddly enough, as I'm writing this, Elvis's "Blue Christmas" is playing on the radio?! LOL

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Carol

Love this design, so modern and traditional at the sometime! The mini ornaments are so pretty with the leaves of fern and the sentiment topper!! Love also the little detail of the red gemstones, they give really a festive touch to your card! Well done, Carol!

Pretty card, Carol. Love the cherry with the gumball and your papers are super nice. The ornaments look great with the touches of ferns and gems atop them. Hoping you are getting some sun time today.

You're finding some great "schtuff" in your UFO stash. Love this wild background paper too...that design would be difficult to work with, but it's perfect here. Lovely braid trim, and just a really cute Christmas card. Sounds like your Elvis music fit right in with your card theme too! TFS & Hugs

Since I had to work yesterday, I totally missed this stunning Christmas card. I love the way you used the ornament punch as little embellishments.

Okay, I'm an idiot. I saw the ornaments down the side and wondered how you got 'Christmas' out of strawberries! I get it now; I'm just a little slow. It's a cute card and I'm loving on the patterns together.

How funny - I thought the same thing as Judy! I had some great strawberries last night and was thinking how yummy your card looked and then realized it was a Christmas card. Fun Christmas card and those ornaments look nothing like strawberries so I must have food on the brain! Hugz

Hi, Carol!

This is one gorgeous Christmas card! Love the pairing of that Bo Bunny paper with your SU solids. And, those tiny ornaments along the left edge are the perfect finishing touches. :)

Thanks so much for playing along with our OWH Sketch Challenge!
