I have 3 cards today that I made for my next OWH box that I'll be sending in soon. I posted these two cards back in February, and today I'm sharing the rest that I made with this design. I have many sheets of dsp (dsp=designer paper) from my scrapbooking days that have very large prints and they're difficult to use on cards, but once I cut the paper into strips, I found I could easily use them for cards. I laid them into the staggered diagonal pattern, added assorted punched flowers, brads, and the perfect Unity sentiment from "Sending my Love." This one uses a dusty pink card base.....
This one uses a pale plum card base...
and this one uses a lavender card base. The dsp is BG Wisteria Wonder.
I'll be sharing these over at the Unity Friday Friends with Flair.
Wishing all of my US friends a great first day of spring.......even though we're bracing for yet another snow storm here in Eastern PA!

I'm with you that using those papers with the big patterns is difficult when you've doing card. Some of those big patterns are too cool to not use though so I'm glad you've found a plan and shared your makes. These are really great cards. Next time I run across those crazy big patterns.... I'm going to channel my inner Carol.
I love the design of these cards, and the colours you've used this time are lovely.

Lovely cards!
Lovely cards and thanks for this great idea of using large print dp.
Your cards are beyond beautiful, and I love that you found such a remarkably creative way to use your stash of large DP. I know these cards are going to be much loved and greatly appreciated by the soldiers and their family members at home. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity!! Being from a military family, having a husband that served, and being the mother and sister of active duty soldiers (my son is being deployed to Africa in about three weeks), this means the world to me! Once again, I THANK YOU!!
On a side note, I hope you don't mind if I CASE this lovely design. :)
I like the way you used the paper strips. Awesome!!!
This is just one gorgeous design, Carol. Love the colors!
I have such stacks of 12" paper - and this is such a genius way to use them! Hope you've dug out from the snow a bit (we got nearly 3 feet last week, ugh!)
