I made this card for the MFP Speedy Fox & Friends challenge #251 to "use a fence." I've had this MB Arboscello tree die for ages, yet I rarely use it, so I decided to go with a silhouette image, and cut the tree with black card stock. I sponged the background with scarlet, orange and yellow inks, although my photo editing shows it as green on the bottom. The silhouette birds were done with SNSS stamps, while Speedy the cat, and the sentiment were done with MFP stamps. The fence was done with a MS fence punch. This is a total switch from snow or spring-related cards, but I needed an escape from the cold weather, so I went with a warm autumn evening theme :)
Stay warm and have a great week ahead! Thanks for stopping by!

A wonderful scene! Love the way you sponged the sky and little Speedy is darling sitting on the fence. Love the tree die too.
Hope y'all warm up soon.

That fence is one of my favs and I now love it in a silhouette scene also. It's funny that you made a fall type card. I just made one the other day but I am having trouble figuring out which of three different papers I want to sue for my background. I'll have to get to it and post it. We are so looking forward to spring and/or summer that we may have wished the two seasons away.
Have a fun day.
Beautiful back ground this is very effective Thank for sharing at MFP SF&F >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Lis
A beautiful scene, Carol. Your background looks great. I can tell you are sick of winter. We will have storms this week and then possibly some ice and snow. One snow was all I wanted so now that we've had it, I am so ready for warm/hot weather.
Love the fab scene,just gorgeous.xxx
Love this tree die, it's very beautiful! Your background is so warm and feels a lot of quiet. The fence with the little cat on it are adorable. Great job!
I am loving this silhouette scene Carol! That sky is amazing and I so love that tree! I never got me a MS fence punch, and looks like I probably should. lol Your cat on the fence is a perfect touch and I love the birds in the sky. This could be a spring layout too, although I know you made a fall layout. Either way, I love it! Hunkering down for another pita of a mess tomorrow. Stay inside and warm Carol. Hugs, Brenda

A beautiful card. I love the sponged sky. Great job. Thank you for joining us for the Speedy Fox challenge this week. We hope you join us again next week.
Pretty card that you have created here. I also have one of these trees that someone punched for me, and it has just been sitting in my drawer. You have inspired me to get it out and use it.
I also went with a spring looking card today hoping it would help me to escape the cold weather!
Carol, love the use of Speedy the Cat and the sentiment with this beautiful silhouette technique. Wonderful!

Terrific sponged scene, and great use of this tree die. I don't use it as often as I should either, because it's very pretty. Love the fence with the kitty eyeing that big moon. Sure to cheer up somebody who receives it. TFS
