The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge is to add a little texture. I think I might have included a touch of texture on this card! lol
I started with kraft card stock, embossing it with a SU! hexagon ef, adding snippets of red, navy and yellow hand-cut hexagons dropped randomly inside the embossed hexagons. I cut a navy SU! scalloped top tag punch, and embossed it with a SB M-bossabilities folder with smaller hexes. On top of that is a SU! note tag punch done in kraft, and on top of that is a border done with a Simon Says Stamp hexagon border punch with randomly placed negatives in matching colors. The "Super Dad" image is a digi from SNSS colored to match, and the final touch was some color coordinated twine added to the tops of both tags.
With all of these snippets used, I have to share this one over at the Snippets Playground #164 too!
Wishing you a warm day wherever you are! I hope this cold weather will be over soon and I'm sure most of the country feels the same way! Thanks for stopping by today!

Very nice, bright, fun Dad card. Some super hero dad will be thrilled to get this one. Love your mini hexagons that go so nicely with the larger ones. I have the folder, I'll have to dig it out and use it soon. Enjoy your day and try to stay warm yourself. It is snowing right now and has been most of the morning. We just got about 1 inch overnight and this morning. It is dropping down to 0° tonight and a snow/rain/sleet mix for Saturday. Where the heck is spring?????
What a super card! I love the design, with the hexagon theme all over the card. xx
You're the queen of the inlaid technique. Your sentiment is so cool and the card is great.
Stay warm!
Fabulous card for Dad, Carol! Love the esagon embossed background with the random coloured shapes!! Your tag is adorable!
Love the superhero theme and the great pops of color!
Wow Carol!!! I'd say that you certainly did get some texture on this card! lol I love it!!! I love the random hexi's dropped into the embossing, the tags are fabulous and I love the embossing on the blue one. The punch, OMGosh didn't know there was a punch like this!! Love it on the kraft tag, then I love that digi on top, colored to match. This is one fabulous card Carol! I hope you are staying warm. Not sure what we did to get this cold, but I want a do over!! lol Wouldn't it be nice if the west coast could ship some of their heat over to us and us our cold over to them?? lol We've never happy no matter the weather. sigh Hugs, Brenda
Lots of texture for our challenge, and I like the bright primary colors, too, Carol! Thanks for playing with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
I love this super colourful card carol. The hexagon background looks great with the random coloured inserts.
Your cowboy card in the last post is fabulous too. You made a great background and I love the stamped image and sentiment.

Love all these bright colors in the hexagon grid. I can just imagine all the fiddling with those colored snippets to fit in the hexagon shapes. Pretty with the soft taupe color too..lets those brights just shine. Love the texture on that tiny cute tag. With even more spots of brilliant color. Delightful & fun. TFS & Hugs
