Today I'm sharing a card that would have normally ended up in the trash! I printed this pre-colored digi from Deedee's digis called "Friends Forever" and the tigers came out of my printer colored pink! LOL Long story short, my old printer uses 5 separate color ink carts, and 2 colors are are low, which produced this odd result. I can no longer buy the single ink color carts, but will have to buy all 5 carts plus black at one time. Ka-ching!! It frustrates me because I'll be forced to buy expensive ink I don't need, but that's a story for another day. I decided to keep the pink tigers and make the card anyway. The background was stamped with a Studio Calico/Hero Arts backgrounder and heat-embossed with white ep. I colored in all the spaces with Copic fluorescent markers and added more color to the tigers as well as some white wink of stella to their green bellies. I used a word window punch for the tabs, and fastened them with mini brads. The sentiment is from Deedee's LadyBug Hugs digital stamp set. It seemed to be the perfect sentiment for these neon friends :)
This is also Deedee's February digi of the month and if you play along with our challenge, you'll win next month's featured digi free! You can snag this Forever Friends set right now for a reduced price, so head over to Deedee's blog and get all the details right here.
Thanks for stopping by, and you should always be your own kind of beautiful!

The harlequin background and the three colourful tabs match great!! And the funny sentiment is just perfect, so all it's stunning!!
You are very creative, you succeed in creating something original and nice from a problem! Great!
Well don't you just hate it when you can't buy your inks like you used too?! I hate when we are forced to buy what we don't need. Although this print out of the tigers came out so stinkin' cute! I love, love the pink and yellow colors. Your background is so colorful and goes so well with you printed tigers. And that sentiment is just perfect! Hugs, Brenda
Have you ever heard of furries? The people who dress in furry creature costumes? Well, that is what this card makes me think of. It is perfect to send to a furry friend. Pink tigers, why not?!
Oh, the tangled web these companies weave! I personally like my tigers in the pink.. LOL! Way to make them work and not waste anymore ink! Nice job.
I'm in a total giggle mode here! LOL!!! Too Funny! This sounds exactly like something that would happen to me. So glad you didn't trash it though because it made into an adorable card - pink and all. You couldn't have picked a better sentiment to go with them either.
Yikes on the printer ink! Ka-ching is right. Makes you want to get a new printer!

The tigers were obviously meant to be pink - they go so well with the background! The sentiment is just perfect to finish off your card. Love it! xx
:)) story about tigers is funy, but the way they came out is super cute! amazing colours of background to! Great work.
Well I think this was a happy mistake...because they really turned out cute! I think most of can relate to your story about the ink...I try not to print as much these days. (Easier said than done sometimes).
Hope you are having a good week.
Well, I like your pink tigers with the green bellies....what fun they are! Plus, that paper and the colorful tabs are just perfect for them. Cute, cute creation, Carol.
Yikes on the ink problem. Thankfully, I can still buy one cartridge at a time. But, it seems to guzzle ink.
These guys are fabulous. Awesome colors.
Terrific tigers! Wonderful card.
