Something New

Today I'm sharing a card made for OWH that uses Rich Razzleberry, pale plum, and white. I used a Darice basketweave ef, along with a border punch, large tag punch, scalloped tag punch, and strip of dsp from SU! There are 2 "new" items on this card - the decorative tag punch stamp, and the stamped "bow" in the center. They're retired single stamps from SU! that I found at a sale some time ago and never used until now. I fussy cut the  stamped plaid bow, and fastened it down with a mini button brad. I added some white ribbon and neutral twine, and finished this with a Hero Arts sentiment.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Shopping our Stash #183 - use something "new"

Simon Says Stamp - use something "new"

NBUS #3 - use something "new" - or never before used schtuff

Snippets Playground #158 - must use snippets

Never-Before-Used-Schtuff (Stamps, Dies, EFs, etc.)

Thanks for stopping by today and make it a great Thursday! Most of the country is in a deep freeze (including us), so do stay warm!!!

Carol

This is such a pretty card and the sentiment is especially appropriate for this week. Love that little bow and, of course, your fussy cutting of it is perfect. Stay in and stay warm my friend.

Loving your card Carol! The colors are so pretty, love that embossing folder and your cute tag. I love that you used two tags to make it, look so stinkin' cute! I still love that punch too, but don't use it nearly enough. Hugs, Brenda

This is really pretty. I love all the texture! I've got to stop reading your blog first thing in the morning. I get all inspired to try things and make cards, but by the time I get home from work I've lost my will to live. Maybe I should read your blog before going home! (don't suggest *at* home, that's crazy talk)
