This is my 2nd post for today, and it's Darnell's birthday, so I'm joining in the celebration to make this day special for a great blogger and friend who gives her all to each and every one of us. Her blog (for me) is a daily must-read as she's funny, clever, and makes some very special cards too! I hope she's already received her snail-mail card from me, but here's a 2nd just in case!
I used some Coastal Cabana dsp from SU! and die cut the Simon Says Stamp Pure Poppy die, then cut it again from a coordinating SU! yellow dsp. I inserted the yellow diecut into the blue panel and added some daffodil ribbon. The sentiment panel was done with a SNSS sentiment on a SU! diecut, and I added some punched flowers in coordinating colors. The gemstones & pearl are from Pizzazz Aplenty. This is about as close as I'm able to get to a CAS style that Darnell enjoys, so I hope she likes it! I have a layering disorder and can't seem to stop soon enough to keep it CAS! lol
I'm taking this over to the MASKerade blog where Ardyth is hosting a link-up party for cards for Darnell!
Have a very healthy and happy Birthday Darnell - may you have the fantastic birthday celebration that you so deserve!

Lovely Card made in Darnell's honor, I just now posted my card, so our cards are right next to each other...smile..
I have the same disorder that you have...I can't seem to stop adding layers...but I am working on it. Maybe we need to find a 12 step program for card making!
Nice Carol. Darnell is a special lady and has a great sense of humor. She will love it.
HAHA....a layering disorder? That is funny. Your card is so pretty and I'm sure Darnell will love it.
Oh, I must go over and wish her a happy birthday! Very thoughtful card.
Darnell's blog is a must for me every day too, she is one inspirational lady! I love the beautiful card you have made to celebrate the great lady's birthday too! Thank you too for your visit to my blog and your comment. Anne x
Very pretty with that inlaid die like that! Great paper too.
Fantastic birthday card for anyone.

Your itty bitty flowers are precious!!

Love the pattern on pattern looks of your cards. You picked such scrumptious colors as well. Yes, a big HB to Darnell! I'm sure she' off enjoying her day and we'll get to read all about her escapades later!
A super beautiful card for Our Darnell. Love the colors and especially loved that technique of embedding the positive shape into the negative. I've got to try that! This particular MB die is wonderful for that one, and your colors sing "summer time". Darnell will love it, and maybe I can get one done & play in the celebration tomorrow. Was late with the snail mail! TFS & Hugs. Yep, she's pretty special alright, but so are you too!
This is a beautiful CAS card Carol! I love the papers you used and I love, love those tiny flowers you used on the sentiment. Just beautiful and I know Darnell will love it too! Hugs, Brenda
Oh she is going to love this little beauty! Those colors are just amazing! And I agree with everyone about those bitty flowers on the sentiment panel; they're so darn sweet! Great card, and I'm so happy you were able to party along with us! Bev
I'm here! Finally, no party today, so I'm getting a chance to catch up a bit!
Look at how special I am! I got TWO birthday cards from Carol and I totally love them both!! My snail mail card WITH LAYERS is gorgeous with the triple panels and sweet tagged ribbon in pretty shades of blue!
And now this colorful patterned beauty! I am inspired to lay in pattern on pattern like you did with the inlaid poppy - just stunning! And I love your sweet flower-embellished sediment!!
I love that expression, "layering disorder!" LOLOLOLOL! Great job of putting a lid on your LayerIng Disorder for this one! Get it, LID?!
So, hmm, I guess that leaves me with a nonlayering disorder (NO LID)!
My heart is on overfull and I can't thank you enough for making me another card to join in the surprise linky party, my dear friend!! I hope you had a Happy 4th and a have a great weekend!! Mwah! Darnell
