Using Lots of Snippets

Here is this week's Retro Sketch #119, a perfect image for using all those leftover snippets of dsp I have in my stash!

I have quite a few paper pads with just a couple pieces of paper that need to be used, so I started off with my Echo Park Springtime pad and used it for this card. When it came time to make the sentiment, I realized the background colors in the paper weren't white or cream colored - just somewhere in-between. I took a 2nd look at the back chipboard piece of the pad and Bingo! It was a perfect match! I used a SNSS die for the word "Happy" and the thickness of the chipboard gave me exactly the kind of dimension I was looking for. The layered button was done with an I O button die, and accented with some neutral colored twine.

Here's a 2nd one with SU! Coastal Cabana and matching SU! dsp. The sentiment is layered with chipboard and Coastal Cabana so it's a perfect color match!

Of course I'm also taking these cards over to the Snippets Playground #129 because they're completely made of snippets!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a very "Happy" day!

Boy what you can do with a few scrap pieces of paper is just unbelievable to me. These are exceptional. I love the colors in your second card.
You've should make tons of these, everyone will love them. Have a good day.

What a great job you did with that sketch with these two pretty cards. I think I need to go look in my stack pads of paper and see what leftover snippets I have...you have inspired me. Hope you are having a good week.

You know I'm loving both of these cards - they look like quilts! Great use of the paper packs and clever you to think of using the chipboard for this die sentiment. (Think I have that one, and never would have thought to use the paper pk's chipboard! Great idea). Love the button on each card, and those colors are so pretty & vintage. Couldn't decide which is my favorite...I like 'em both. See ya at the Playground. TFS & Hugs
