Simon Says Happy 5th Birthday!

Simon Says Stamp is celebrating their 5th birthday of challenges with a birthday card challenge showcasing their own exclusive products. I always try to play along each week, so for this card I pulled out some of those SSS products I own to make my card. I used the Pinpoint Border and Bella Bloom dies, interchanging those tiny pieces in the border with red and white cardstock. I find that tedious work very relaxing where most would probably run for the hills :) The 3 smallest flowers in the Bella Bloom set were used, along with black pearls and rhinestones for the centers. I snipped a CL fanciful flourish in 2 pieces to anchor the popped-up flowers, and added a PB stamped birthday sentiment. Happy Birthday SSS!!

I'm also taking this one over to the Snippets Playground #118 since I used all leftover snippets of card stock to make those flowers and tiny pinpoints!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Carol

Wow Carol, this really is fabulous! LOVE the colours and such a brilliant design - err, and some small snippets used there! I love it.

Your dies and the stamp are still here - my back is outta whack right now but will venture out to the Post Office just as soon I feel a bit better and OK to get in my car and not get stuck there!

Totally fabulous, Carol! You chose perfect colors, also. For some reason, those colors never let us down.

This card is amazing, Carol. I love the red, white and black. I think maybe I'll send you all my tedious work because it is not relaxing to me. LOL Every element of this card is just perfect. I find it to be a striking one.

Black and red can be difficult to work with but this card is fantastic. I guess I shouldn't expect anything else from Carol L now should I? Exceptional Carol.

I have yet to try that technique where you replace what you cut out with the die. I have to agree that it is either very relaxing and you can just truck along with it or it is going to make you crazy. It definitely looks like one of those. Anyway, loving your black, white, and red card. So nicely done! Happy Birthday to Simon Says!

Another awesome card. That must have been tedious to interchange all those teensy pieces but it sure paid off in a lovely card
