I made a couple cards for the OWH sketch challenge #220 today. No, I'm not a speedy crafter by any means - I made these punched dogs a day ago and just added them to today's easy sketch :) When I first looked at the sketch, I was ready to run for the hills, but a challenge is a challenge, right? I sat down, turned the radio on to listen to Elvis (which is what I do every Sunday morning while I make my OWH sketch card) and this came together easily after I chose the papers! I used the Doodlebug "kraft in color" paper pad for both cards, using the flip sides of each for the narrow strips and embellishments. The sentiment is from Stamps by Judith and the dog was made with SU! punches and some bling. This one is for a boy.....
...and this is the girl's version. I angled this dog differently, and I like the overall look better than having it tilted completely sideways like the card above. The faces were done with a black marker and the muzzle "spots" were done with a "Stamps by Judith" stamp.
I'm also entering these cards into the Snippets Playground #120.
Have a fantastic Sunday and thanks for stopping by!
Carol

OMG those are SOOOO cute! I love how you let the ears flop!
This is a card I am going to try and case, for sure! These came out awesome. I am finishing up my Easter stuff, then I can get back into the fun.
girl and boy cards...and so cute too. Love the graph paper
What a wonderful idea is the dog made with circle punch! I love it and I also like the papers you used!
Thanks for the nice comment you left on my post.

Let me find some Elvis tunes, girl! If that's what you create listening to him, then you need all of his music. Fantastic job!
This is just adorable. I love how you made a girl and boy version, too!
This cards are both adorable! I love the punch art but I so rarely do it. Thank you for sharing as I always loving seeing what everyone makes! - Kristal
Cute! Cute! Cute! I just love clever punched ideas. I don't think of them, mind you, I just admire them when others do them. I like the thin strips of paper for accents. Gosh knows I create lots of those when crafting.
Sooo, sooo cute! These will bring smile to the faces of anyone. Love the graph paper.
Ooops, hit post too quick. Thanks for playing Carol.
These are adorable! this on my to do list...to learn how to do some punch art! You did a great job with this technique...
Carol, I am sending you an email...

Really clever Carol. Good for a smile too. Nicely done.
These doggie cards are too cute. I love all the little stamps from Stamps by Judith. So many things you can do with them. I like that pink necklace.
No one has a voice like Elvis did...fabulous.
Well isn't this just the cutest little thing!! We brought a new dog home to our family yesterday and we're having a ball :)
Both are simply adoarable! Of course, my fave is the girly-one :)
Carol, These are adorable -- boy and girl pups! I agree with you about the angle of the second doggie. It made a super cute card even cuter. :)
Oh Carol your hounds are adorable!! I love how they came out and can't believe they are just a few shapes. I love when people can make things out of simple shapes-I'm so in awe! I also love the card design, I'm glad you didn't run for the hills, because these are too cute for words! I also love, love that sentiment! Hugs
These doggies are amazing Carol - such brilliant use of snippets!
