Stitching with Twine

Here's my entry for the Tuesday Throwdown #186 which is "stitching." I used a pre-colored digi image from Deedee Anderson called "Hello Spring" and added a little cross stitching with some twine. I adorned one corner with a notch punch and added some twine there, as well as a little snippet of it on the pre-printed digital sentiment panel. The dsp and royal blue cardstock are from my stash.

I made another card using this image because it reminds me of the spring weather I'm longing to enjoy! It looks like we might not be done with the snow yet after all unfortunately :)

I used a light blue background with this card, along with a different sentiment and some gingham ribbon. Maybe if I keep making spring-themed cards, spring will finally get here?! LOL

Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a great day!!

Carol

These two cards are giving me hope for nice weather. You adorned both of them so sweetly. It is suppose to hit maybe 50 today, but then take a big plunge tomorrow and some precipitation during the week. We can only enjoy it day by day when we get it.

Oh, you have made a darling card. I LOVE the bird and nest. Looks just like Spring.

I'm sorry to hear you may not be through with the snow. It'll be 70 here today if the sun comes out and I think we'll have a little. Hubby is cleaning out the back yard pond. We're promised a day full of rain tomorrow. Guess you would love rain instead of snow...for a change.

Both your cards are sweet. I love the cross stich done with the twine. Great Idea. I have stitching real or faux + a butterfly on my #3 and would love to see you flutter by. Hugs Mrs A. (butterfly challenge).

I am so loving this pretty spring card Carol! Your digi is adorable and I love the stitching you did with the twine, adds so much. And then of course is the deep blue base, love it. I am hoping that this store stays to the south of us Carol and that we only get a dusting or nothing would be even more better. lol I hope this is the last time we hear that 4 letter word, "snow"!! Hugs

So are you guys just going to keep on doing snow until it is winter again? 'Cuz I just want you to know that that sounds like a really lousy idea. You know.... eek!

Great cards and they definitely have the spring feel to them. I like the stitching with the baker's twine. It really adds a nice something to the card.
