With the long winter blahs soon coming to an end, I decided it was time to add some bright colors today. I took some primary colored snippets of cardstock and created a herringbone pattern for the vertical panel, then layered it with a punched border after embossing it with a CB ef that looks like little boxes. The image and sentiment are from Cocoa's Crayons by SNSS. I colored the image with Copics, and used the last few snippets of retired SU! red ribbon I've had in my stash for several years. I finished everything up with a little sample snippet of red twine from whisker graphics.
With all of the snippets used on this card, I'll be taking it over to the
Snippets Playground #115.
Add a little color to your day too - spring is eventually going to arrive! Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!
Carol
I of your vibrant card, Carol! That little mouse is so cute. And I think all of us crafty gals have find childhood memories of coloring with crayons. :)

What a nice bright card. I have a hard time with a bunch of primary colors on one card for some reason but you rocked the box here! Very nicely done. I'm too tired to be the most brilliant crayon today. Can I be the broken on that doesn't behave today?
ReplyDeleteAll of those colors will be sure to make someone smile! Love the pattern you created with them. Of course, Cocoa is cute, as ever.
ReplyDeleteAmazing job with the fun, colorful card. You always do such a nice job with the herringbone and your coloring is superb. Have a good night.
ReplyDeleteI think I saw that stamp before! Smile. If I'm not mistaken I think that's the one I watched you purchase at our favorite stamp store. I can see why you were looking for that stamp. It makes a really cute card! So nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThat is some herringbone pattern there. I love it! Must have taken a while with the glue or tape. Lots of patience, and it shows..it's just right for this crayon image. Love it, and that is one cute little mousie peeking around that box of crayolas. Festive, bright and some child (or child-like!) is gonna fall in love with this one, Carol. TFS & Hugs
