Just Ducky!
Here's a card I made for Deedee's Digi of the Month challenge for November. I'm using a free digi image that was sent to everyone who played along with last month's challenge! This is Daniel Duck and he's all ready for Christmas with his little tree. If you missed last month's challenge, this digi stamp set is available here. Follow the rules and play along with us this month, and you'll receive the December free digi by email too! That's a really sweet deal, and you have a whole month to play along!
I know the colors aren't traditional, but since purple & green is my favorite color combo, I just went for it, adding some lavender cardstock that was embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. The vertical dsp strip is by BoBunny, and I added a tree brad with a snippet of yellow gingham ribbon to finish this one.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Monday!
Carol

Oh I do like this cute little Daniel! I'll have to go check the link & thanks. Loved your color combo, it fairly popped & sparkled. Your tree brad reminded me I have some of these - somewhere! Perfect on your checked ribbon & matching Daniel's tree that he's hauling home. This is really such a swell card. TFS & Hugs
That will make someone's holiday super ducky! Love the purple embossing and the brad is adorable.
Daniel Duck is such a cutie pulling that tree. Adorable card, Carol. The gingham ribbon/tree is a great finishing touch to your card.
So adorable! Love the color combo - and of course just knew you had to use some purple! It looks fantastic with the green and yellow. Love that Christmas tree brad too!

I'm so glad you went with this color scheme, Carol. Not traditional, no, but beautiful, yes! The combination of the embossing and the trees paper is really sweet, and I *love* your little bit of gingham with the tree brad -- perfect!
