Are you Playing?

Happy Tuesday everyone! I have a couple cards today that use Deedee Anderson's Digi set called Daniel's Tree. Deedee has a month-long November challenge contest going on and all you have to do is use this digi stamp set to make a card - it's that easy! If you play along, she'll email you next month's challenge digi image for FREE!! I know you like free digis, but if you missed playing along with the first challenge and didn't get to snag this cute stamp set, you can still buy it right here. You still have plenty of time to make a card and post it here, and then you're all set for that free digi for December's challenge! What are you waiting for? I know you like this little duck as much as I do :)

I used Bo Bunny papers for this card along with some SU! ribbon and a MS punched button from red cardstock. I added some yellow twine just for fun, and the sentiment is from the Daniel's Tree digi stamp set!

I made a 2nd card for you, and this one uses some dsp's from one of the first paper pads I ever bought! It's so old, the cover is gone, so I have no idea who made it, but the colors seemed to work well with this image. I used one of the sentiments from the set, but cut it apart and matted each word on dark green cardstock, adding a corner done with a Quickutz die and a scrap of paper that matches Daniel's boots. I pierced around the edges, and did some faux stitching, then used a MS snowflake border punch for the vertical panel with ribbon.

I hope these cards will inspire you to play along this month, and I look forward to seeing what you make with next month's free digi!

All of Deedee's designs are available here, but they're currently undergoing an upgrade and there are many bugs to be worked out, which is why you can easily purchase this November challenge digi HERE via Paypal. If you have any difficulty in purchasing or viewing any of Deedee's digis, feel free to email me (check my sidebar) and we'll get it sorted out for you :)

I hope to see you playing along and wish you all a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

Carol

Oh, your ducky is so adorable and I love the way you used the ribbon on the first card.

Wow! Paper from when you started stamping? I guess I must have some, too. Oh, how we hoard and buy and buy. Ha I like how you did the sentiment on the 2nd card. They're both adorable cards.

Well I would think these two cards should provide a lot of people tons of inspiration to play along with Deedee's great challenge. Love both of them. Enjoy your evening.

I have some of that paper too!!! But mine probably does not look as nice as yours!

Two more wonderful cards Carol. Love the cute image and your card designs look fab. Great idea to cut up that sentiment and mat it with the dark green!

I will post the recipe when I do Mum's baking...That is usually in the latter part of the first week of December...right after I get my tree and decorations up. I have to do the tree slowly and sitting down for most of it...as far as I can reach anyways...that standing in one spot and leaning ever so slightly is still not in my forte!
Usually take me 4 or 5 days to do the inside of the house as I take lots of breaks!
So watch my blog around Dec 5 to 7th and I will post both recipes and the photos of each...and how I pack my tins!

I do like Daniel! He is just as precious as he can be and you've used him so effectively on both these great cards. Love the raised matted panel with Daniel, and your R&W ribbon with the button. Your dp was so perfect with his sled tree too. #2 was great with your photo corner and nifty stitching. (So straight!) I'm loving that MS lace punch (gotta see if I have it!) and your green ribbon on the lace was perfect with his muffs. Again, liked the bkgrd DP here. You have a good eye for colors. TFS & hugs. Stay warm up in PA.

You do that faux stitching better than I could ever do real stitching!!! I've got to start doing that instead of trying to sew straight!
CUTE card and love the way you broke up the sentiment. VERY nice!
