Thankful
I played along with this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge and made an Autumn inspired card. The background is free digital paper called "fallen leaves" from FreeDigitalScrapbooking.com that I printed on Neenah card stock. I used rust colored card stock for the mats and sentiment panel, adding a MFP sentiment that I've always loved. I gold embossed a piece of scrap card stock and cut out the Cheery Lynn Mini fanciful flourish for the side accent, adding one of the leaves to the opposite side of the panel just for fun. I used a SB labels 25 die to cut the sentiment panel, and lined the outside of the mat with a gold paint pen before hand-cutting it to make a smaller mat.
Autumn has definitely arrived in PA, as it was just 44 degrees when I got up this morning! It's brisk, refreshing and invigorating - once you get some warm clothes on and get moving :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day today!

Simply Stunning! I am in awe of your straight gold pen outlining of that diecut! Awesome. Loved the layout and your die mats with your sentiment is so very pretty. This is elegant, rich looking and perfect as a fall card. Great addition of that leaf flourish as a finishing touch. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty Carol! Did you see Rob shaved his head...yuck!
ReplyDeleteGreat sentiment, wonderful sketch, and very pretty card! You did a wonderful job on this and I am so glad fall is on its way (here in Alabama we are just getting little hints it is on the way as it is still so hot). Love the card. Hugz!
ReplyDeleteLove this design. The use of the free digi paper was great. I understand that the use of gold is very trendy right now.
