Simon Says - By the Sea

The challenge for this week's Simon Says Stamp challenge is "by the sea." In the midst of this east coast heat wave, all I want to do is make cards that make me feel cooler, so being by the water does the trick! I'm using a SNSS image which was heat embossed first, colored with Copics (for the water) and then sponged with color for the sky. The twine is from Lawn Fawn, the little hexagons on the right are negatives from a SSS hexagon border die, and the tiny tag is from SU! The dsp is unknown and was given to me by a generous sweet friend (thanks Mary Anne). I almost wish I was on that sailboat right now to catch some cool ocean breezes - but then I quickly remember how sick I get when I'm out on the ocean, so I'll just stay put here on dry hot land :)

Stay cool and have a great day!!!

  5. Very pretty, relaxing, cool card. I like the idea of using those hexagon negatives. Your twine just goes along with the nautical theme. It is terrible out, stay in and stay cool.

  7. This truly is a relaxing card. I love how you did the sky...I guess you masked the sun...I have not tried that yet but sure like the look of it!

I sat out in the gazebo from about noon till 4 pm. It is 34 degrees but I was shaded...still I went into the RV and brought out a fan! Just have to be pretty careful about where you point it! lol
