Seize the Birthday X's 4

Here's the sketch I based my cards on for today. It's Seize the Birthday #11 masculine version, so I went to work and made several cards for my next OWH box.

This was very simple to make using an EK bricked pattern punch, and some scraps of red & grey card stock. The birthday sentiment is from SNSS and I embossed it with clear detail, then colored it with Copics, mounting on a SB grommet tag with brads. The "to my brother" sentiment is from SU! Wonderful Favorites (r).

Here's a version I made with mustard colored card stock. I did the sentiment panel a little differently, and the lower sentiment is also from the SU! wonderful favorites (r) set.

Here I've used a scrap of blue, and this time I added 3 jewel tags where I embossed the letters with white ep using some of those wooden stick stamps. If I had more time, I could probably make a dozen cards like this, because they're made with snippets of scraps, and they don't require a lot of time to put together. I changed the recipient sentiment on each card to add variety to the cards for our soldiers to send home, but I kept them all masculine.

Lastly, I made this one entirely from  some great dsp that my friend Mary Anne gave me, and all I did was add a spiral punched border and some matching twine for a simple, masculine birthday card.

Thanks for staying with me for this long post, and I wish you all a wonderful day!

Super cards, Carol. I don't think I've ever seen that brick patterned punch. It's very cool for making masculine cards and so much more, I'm sure.

Busy lady. This is a great sketch for these cards. I love that brick patterned die. Your last card is equally as nice with those terrific papers. I am trying to a few challenges today and tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of the week.
