OWH President's Day VCMP continues...

I've managed to complete all of the challenges for the OWH Stars and Stamps VCMP for president's day weekend! Whee!!
This card is for challenge 6 where Linda's challenge is "things with wheels."
This truck certainly has wheels, and I've made this card for a friend who recently turned 85. Stamps by Tim Holtz.

Challenge 7 is brought to us by Jen and she's given us a "caffeine challenge." Whenever I think of coffee or hot chocolate, Cocoa mouse comes to mind, so I used this SNSS digi image along with some papers from MME the bright side and put this card together.

Challenge #8 is being hosted by Donna, and she wants us to use Washi Tape on our cards. I only have 2 rolls of washi tape and they're red & black, and identical in design, so I opted to use just one color and wrapped it around a piece of cardstock to create a border. The flower was done with a SU! punch, and the sentiment is from Unity.

Challenge #9 is "all white or cream with 3 layers", and it's hosted by Sharon. I used the MB Vivienne and Darla butterfly dies, adding a pearl paper for the top layer. Background embossing was done with a HA flourishes ef, and the sentiment panel was done with an EK punch and a SU! lg oval punch and square lattice ef. I added some round and teardrop shaped pearls for accents to the butterfly and sentiment panel, and here's a close up of that detail...

Last but not least is challenge #10 which is to "glitz and glam it up without glitter" and Kaylee is our host. Here's my card for the final challenge in this VCMP.

I used a Saturated Canary image for this, coloring with Copics and adding some red gemstones to the top and bottom of the card for bling. She's already glammed up in that gorgeous gown, so bling seemed to be the perfect embellishment to this image!

Whew! Eleven challenges (including the sketch challenge) in 2 days! I'm glad I was able to complete them all, but I have a bathroom that's calling my name to be cleaned, so it's time to catch up on some much-needed housework!
Thanks for sticking with me for these long posts, and I wish you a wonderful week ahead!

Carol

Carol, what an amazing batch of cards! Love them! So glad that you joined us for the VCMP! All it takes is one roll of washi tape and your card really pops. Love your choice of color. Black, white and pink go so well together. Thanks for joining in my washi tape challenge! Good luck with the drawing.

Not surprisingly another group of gorgeous cards from you, Carol. Each card with it's own unique personality and character. I love them all, but the white card would have to be my favorite. I have always love white on white cards. To me this one is just stunning. Enjoy the rest of your day. I'm cooking up a storm today before I return to work tomorrow. Just took a break to see what you've been up to and I'm glad I did. I would not have wanted to miss these lovely cards.

Carol - my oh my girl -- you out did yourself -- all of your cards are fantastic. You hit the mark on all of the challenges. Your wheels card is clever with the arrows pointing the way and I really like the TH themes. The caffeine card is so cute with the little mouse - love that image - this would also work with the Zig Zag with some of your elements. Oh and your Washi tape is so precious - I love the simplicity and the pink flower really pops. I like how you wrapped the tape and made that border. Your white on white is beautiful. I love the HA flourishes ef - that is one I will look for to add to my tools. I really like how you highlighted the sentiment - the tear
drop pearls add a real special touch to the card. And your glitz and glam card - the image is so glam - you did a wonderful job coloring (I admire all of you that can do this so well) and the little red bling adds that perfect touch to this card. Thanks for participating in all of the challenges.

Carol, I am so glad I stopped by today. You loaded some absolutely fabulous cards! I can't even decide which is my fave. I think the white one and the Saturated Canary - but really they are all really great. Sorry I have not visited in a while - life has been pulling me in so many directions. Hugz!

Fabulous cards, Carol. I'm not choosing a favorite as I like them all. I will say that I do love white on white, though.
I have never made that many cards in so short a time. Too bad you have to leave your craft to clean now. That's no fun. Ha

I think our rain is coming your way. Sorry.

Wow, you're a crafting machine. Great work on all those cards. Of course, I'm partial to the one for my challenge ;-) I just love saturated canary images and love the red look. Your coloring is phenomenal. I love how it is almost monochrome, but the blue complements it so well and really brings out her eyes and the bird eggs. Great use of bling too. Thanks for joining the VCMP 'Glitz and Glam' challenge.
