I found out today that my neighbor had to put her 5-yr old chocolate lab down last night after he developed kidney failure and went downhill really fast. It's so sad, and he was too young to be gone so soon! I remember when she got that pup in early December 5 years ago as a surprise Christmas present for her husband. My husband and I kept the puppy for several weeks until Christmas day so her husband would be completely surprised. They named him Bosco because he was the color of chocolate, which is why I used that color for this card.
I used a MB pair of butterfly dies, and pulled out some of my precious retired SU! Parisian Breeze dsp and used the sketch for the
Freshly Made Sketches #70. I used an older punch I've had for a long time to make the paw print and used some baja breeze card stock along with chocolate chip. The sentiment was computer generated.

It was a very sweet idea to make a pet sympathy card for your neighbor. When our cats died a few years ago, we received a few pet sympathy cards, and we really appreciated them.
I love how you personalized this card with the chocolate brown color, and I also love the beautiful butterfly that you made.
So sorry about your neighbors lab!
The little paw print is so cute and of course the butterfly is gorgeous. Great DP too!

How lovely that you should do that for your neighbor. I agree with Denise; those cards make precious remembrances. It's so hard to lose a pet and it's nice to feel support when it happens. What a lovely card, by the by!
Warmly,
Sara
What a heart breaking story. I'm sure that they will appreciate this gorgeous card. Love the color combo (and the significance)and the butterfly die is a stunner!

What a beautiful card, Carol. Love this pretty dsp and your delicate butterfly. The paw print is the most precious thing on your card and brings tears to my eyes. Losing a pet is so hard and I still struggle with the loss of my Fluffy. Your card will be most appreciated in the coming days as it will bring comfort in knowing you care. So sorry for the loss of your neighbors pup. 5 years old is too young....
Oh, that is a sad story...so young. It's so hard to lose a pet.
Your card is beautiful and I'm sure it will be appreciated more than you know.
So sorry to hear of the loss of your neighbor's pet. I know that they do become like family. I'm sure your beautiful, thoughtful card will bring comfort to them.
Gorgeous card.....sorry about the occasion though. So hard to lose a loved one, especially at such an early age! Thanks for playing with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
