Here's this week's
OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch for challenge #156.
And here's my take on the challenge. I had this SNSS Cocoa Mouse image colored for another project, but it turned out to be too large, so I used it for today's sketch challenge, putting it together with some left-over pieces of dsp and card stock. The little cups are from a PTI set and I stamped them using a turquoise ink dauber.....remember those?! I hand-drew the steam coming from the tiny cups and the "4 U" was done with matching card stock and my Quickutz. The sentiment is by Hero Arts & was stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink. It was hand cut, while the ends were done with a square punch. Cocoa was colored with Copics, and I just love to color this cute little mouse!

Nice job with the sketch with this cute card. You made me want to go make a cup of cocoa...(the drink not the mouse...smile) You were right in your comment on my blog. It's where I purchased that stamp. She had a cute card on the wall made up with that stamp image, and I couldn't resist buying it, and I'm glad I did.

I really like the '4 U' on the cup..great idea~ I remember the ink dauber and I could never do a thing with it. It worked perfectly for your little cups, though.

I am soooo missing my cardmaking, but with a snow storm on it's way, looks like I may have a snowday tomorrow and if so, I'm creating all day.
My Mom is still not in Rehab and it's been a long and very slow recovery...too long. At this point, it's depressing and I know there is NOTHING I can do, but hope she'll be better every day.
I am VERY much looking forward to my vacation in San Diego and can't wait to HUG my son and his adorable wife....I MISS them so much and am so tired or the daily commute to the hospital. I really had wished and hoped my Mom would have been home by now...and now I wonder if she'll even be home before I leave, next Tuesday. She keeps telling me, she will be fine and NOT to worry, but it's hard! I know once she is home, I'll feel a LOT better and can only HOPE it will be sooner than later!!
In the meantime, I am missing my Scout already and hate that I have had to leave him so much these past several days, especially with me going away now too....I really want to take him, but it's so expensive and the "carry on" they allow is too small for him, so I don't' like the idea of him being squished in there for the long flight....but I almost WISH I could! That would be much better for me and HIM too!!
