Two Sketch Challenge Cards for OWH

Here's the sketch for this week's OWH Stars & Stamps #141 challenge...

And here's my take. I used metallic dsp from DCWV and some thin copper sheet metal for the mat behind the clock and the tiny heart in the center. The background was embossed with the Clockworks ef, and I thought this one looked better without a sentiment, so I left it off. The clock stamp is from Hero Arts.

Julie gave us a bonus sketch this week that she posted on her blog yesterday for the WCMD hop, so I made a card with this sketch too.

I used the same Hero Arts stamp set, and paired it with dsp from Echo Park's Happy Days. I added a brad to the center of the clock face, and a piece of narrow ribbon, plus 3 red hearts done with a SU! Owl punch.

That's gonna do it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Carol

GMTA I was just going to start my cards for today and pulled out this same stamp set but decided to look at what everyone else had done before I started. Both of these cards are fabulous, Carol. I love all the papers you used. Your clock (with that precious heart in the middle) fits the scallop circle perfectly. Of course the embossing is also ideal. On your second card the hearts and red clock hands really make everything pop. Two great cards again today. Well I've got to get started, DEGA today. My favorite.

The embossed clock one is beyond fabulous, and I really admire your bonus card. (I couldn't make that work at all for some reason. I'm going to try to revisit it). I especially like the red hands on the second with that darling heart center! So imaginative!!!

I love that perfect embossing on the first card and the lovely layered strips on the second. The clock image is wonderful, especially with the copper behind it!
