The challenge over at Simon Says Stamp this week is "so trendy." Use chevrons, hexagons, or neons. I used the SB "So Trendy" M-bossabilities folder to create the hot pink and black backgrounds for this, using chevrons and hexagons. This embossing folder has both designs - just flip it to use both patterns. Love that! The larger medallion was done with a SB Lotus die, while the smaller one was done with a Simon Says Stamp Delicate Dahlia die. I cut each die in pink, orange, yellow and black, and interchanged all the pieces to add a splash of interesting color. The colors aren't really neon, but they're definitely festive and bright! The sentiment was done with 2 SU! punches and I added some tiny black pearls, along with a small yellow brad for the center of the small medallion.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic Monday!

Totally cool and fabulous, Carol. I've been seeing hexagons around more and more. I'll have to get on the bandwagon. :-) Your colors are just fantastic...great job!
Love the textures, but sure did you have to go full out and get all three?? {LOL} I consider that background pink darn near neon! Hope that you're feeling ok after all the weekend tree work!
Very trendy and VERY pretty! Love the colors together too. Love it!

Pink and black are always a great combo and with the yellow it just cranks it up a notch. Wonderful card. I, too, love the M-Bossabilities. I have the same one, but need to invest in more. Have a wonderful day.
