The challenge for Simon Says Stamp this week is "anything goes." I made this Christmas card using a Stampscapes tree cluster image, stamping with Versafine ink once, and then stamping with Versafine Onyx Black ink slightly lower and heat embossing. I learned how to do this from Heather's blog and I love how it gives this image a freshly fallen snow look. I sponged the background with eggplant and blue inks, and then outlined the image with a white marker before cutting with a SB labels 18. I drew a line with a purple marker on the white mat, and embossed half the card base with a CB swiss dots ef. The sentiment is by Hero Arts, and I added some Concord Crush ribbon for the final touch.
Have a fabulous Friday and thanks so much for stopping by!

Carol, This card is phenomenal. I always liked that technique and it looks fabulous especially with the colors you sponged with. Totally awesome card. In looking it over I can see myself standing in a field of looking across at pristine snowy trees up in Maine. Nice vision. Enjoy your day.
