OWH Sketch 137

Here's this week's OWH Stars and Stamps sketch #137....

and you can see I'm still in red and white mode from my card posted earlier today, but this time I added some black. I love the snowflake dsp from the MME Christmas stack, but I always wondered where I'd use black snowflakes? I solved that problem once I decided to do a white snowflake on black card stock for this week's OWH sketch! The snowflake image is from SU!'s snow swirled set, and I embossed it with white ep, so the black snowflakes make the perfect background. The striped dsp is Ebony and Ivory by Kaisercraft and I used some real red from SU! punched with their fancy scallop border punch. The sentiment was embossed with white ep and I used a G Studio stamp for that. The brad was silver, but I embossed that with holly red ep, by dipping it in versamark, then the ep, and hitting it with a heat gun. It just needed that little pop of red on top to balance everything out.

It was a picture-perfect day here in PA and I wish we'd have a lot more days like this throughout the year! I'm loving this weather!

That's going to do it for me for today, so enjoy what's left of your weekend, and thanks for stopping by :)

Very pretty winter card. I love the red, white, and black together, very non-traditional. Great idea to color emboss the brad to match your papers. I'll have to try that sometime.

Carol, one stunning card. I love every inch of it. That brads really finished off that image piece beautifully. I made a bunch of Christmas cards today using the Snow Swirled set. I just love it.
