I made this for
Oozak's 6th challenge to "Make it Sparkle," and I based the design on the
Fetch a Sketch Challenge 32. I'm using the SNSS Cocoa mouse digi image, and I've colored him with Copics, including some neon colors for the fireworks. I made this card sparkle with stickles and light blue gemstones in the shape of stars. Sorry the lighting is so poor you can't see that detail, but if you click the photo to enlarge it, you might be able to get a better view. I used a SB square swatches die, and added piercing for a little interest. The dsp is from Echo Park Country Drive and I added some turquoise, red, & black card stock. Here's the sketch:
This might be one of the worst photos I've ever taken, but the card looks so much nicer IRL! I used chocolate chip and blushing bride colors for this card, and I'm entering it into the
Fab Friday's first sketch challenge#01. I'm also entering this into the
OWH midweek throwdown to make a kid's card and use scallops. This is for an older child, but I'm sure big or little kids would love receiving this from a deployed parent! I used a CB decorative tiles ef, along with a SNSS sentiment and border die. The ribbon was a gift from my sweet friend Heidi. Here's the sketch...
That will do it for me today, so thanks for stopping by, and I wish you all a great Wednesday!

Carol, that little Cocoa looks to be having fun with his sparklers. You can see the detail when enlarged. Love that paper and those stars. Your OWH card is just beautiful. color combo is fabulous and I love that layout. That little bow is just perfect. Have a good night.
Whoo-Hoo...the fireworks are going off! How cute is this card. I love it.
Your chocolate and blushing bride is very pretty, too. I'm sure it will be very appreciated and loved no matter what age person gets it.

These cards are great! The paper piercing on the first one adds dimension and interest. I haven't tried this technique, but I want to now. And the Midweek Challenge card is very pretty. Any child (or adult) will enjoy finding this one in the mail ;)
