A Sketch Challenge, and Paradise

Here's my card for the OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch challenge #132. I'm glad I came up with something this week, because last week's sketch completely stumped me! I used SU! pure poppy cardstock & dsp for this, adding a small piece of Kaiser dsp for the vertical panel. I dotted the flower centers with a Copic marker to pull it all together. The horizontal panel was embossed with a SU! fancy fan ef, and the tiny hearts were done with the SU! owl punch. The sentiment was computer generated and done with word window, & fancy label punches. The ribbon is from SU! (r).

This card is for 2 challenges. The CAS-ual Fridays CFC64 challenge is to make a CAS card with things you'd see in the sky. The birds in this image fit that category. It's also for the Our Daily Bread Designs August challenge on OWH that asks for masculine cards. I stamped this SNSS "the Sea" image with Versafine Onyx Black on white cardstock, and embossed with clear detail ep. I scribbled the water colors in with Copics from the BG family at random. I stamped the SNSS sentiment from Ocean Paraside and embossed it like the image, and used a BG11 to lightly add some highlighting. I mounted it on some precious (hoarded) Cool Caribbean cardstock and this CAS card was done! I'm going to try this design with other colors of blue because I just love how it turned out!

That's going to do it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by, and make it a great Sunday!

Carol

Really lovely cards. I'm getting into nautical themed cards ... and they just seem to fit for masculine cards. I guess we just don't see nautical themed cards in pink! lol

Two great cards. I especially love your Paradise card. I wish I was on that sailboat right this minute. That would be heavenly. Imagine - No phones, no worries, no computers and no problems. Thank you for giving me my "moment of wishful thinking today".

Both are great cards, but I really like the sailboat. We have a lake house (but sadly no decent boat). I like the CAS presentation.
