3 Challenge Cards

Here's the I Spy Sketches Challenge #23 for this week...

My take on it included some pretty dsp from Echo Park, along with some pastel butterflies and tiny pearls. The butterfly images were done with a SNSS Polka Dot Silhouette stamp in Memento Summer Sky, Angel Pink, & Dandelion inks, and then covered over in matching colors of card stock, done with a MS butterfly punch. Everything was matted with PTI new leaf green card stock & I added some very tiny pearls to the butterflies, along with a SU! sentiment.

This card is for the Perfect Sentiments PFSC40 to use your favorite scripture or quote as well as to use the above sketch. I can't say I have a favorite quote that I use on cards, but I really like this one I used from SNSS. Thank heaven for good friends - I don't know how I would have gotten this far in life without them! It's a digi that I printed on the card stock, and then built around the card from there. I used some fun dsp from Echo Park, and I thought those two birds on a wire resembled some close friends having a heart-to-heart with one another, so that worked for me. I used a scrap of pink card stock that was lying on my table and punched it with a SU! fancy scalloped border punch. I tried to add the bow to the top like the sketch shows, but nothing I put there looked right, so I settled for some tiny paper flowers with mini gemstones off to the right side instead.

And here's my take on the Tuesday Throwdown 106 to use hot colors. Do ya think these colors meet the challenge? LOL I pulled out all my hot colors scraps and used the SU! owl and bird punches for this one. The sentiment was done with my Quickutz, and the grass border was done with a SNSS grass die. The branches were done with a MB die and the sky was sponged with Ranger tumbled glass ink. I used a MS fern punch for the "nest" and SU square lattice and fancy fan ef's for the owl's vest and bird's wings. I think I need to add more "fun" cards like this in my next OWH box. Everyone needs a good chuckle now and then :)

Thanks for hanging out here today and I wish you a great Thursday!

Carol

Oh my busy little friend. You've come up with three outstanding cards. Your paper choices today are all perfect. Sometimes I have those "busy" papers and I'm afraid to use them, but seeing how you used them today has taken some of my fear away. I'll try using them as soon as I get home. Enjoy your evening.

Love how you used the busy DP - I struggle with that a lot! The two birds are perfect for the sentiment, and the You're Hot card made me giggle! :o)

Aren't you on a roll! I love the pretty butterflies on the top card and how you have the wings raised and the perfect butterfly paper to match.
Your middle card has a great sentiment with the pretty paper, flowers and birds.
The bottom card is just amazing with all the punches you used and the details! The embossed belly of the owl and multiple colors give him so much personality. The birds wings and then the way you created the nest, just so smart! The grass die at the bottom and the cloud effect all pull this card together beautifully. So many amazing details!
