I made this card for the Perfect Sentiments Challenge PSC35 to create a card with the theme of "lacy romance." I won this lace border stamp set from Flourishes a long time ago, and this is the first time it's seen ink. I never quite knew what to do with it, but when this challenge called for lace, I decided to give it some life. I used white embossing powder on black and stamped the black on cream and created a double edge of lace, then sponged antique linen all around the edges. I decided my doily stamp would look good with this border, so I stamped that with versamark and embossed it with white pearl ep, sponging all over it with Versacolor sand beige ink. The sentiment and scalloped border die are from SNSS, and the big pearl button was from my stash. It's lacy and it's sending love, so I think I've met the challenge :)
Here's my card for the Freshly Made Sketch 38. I used a PB stamp (thanks Sandy) for this one, paper piecing the boots with matching dsp, only turning the stripes a different way just for fun. The designer papers are from Echo Park Happy Days and I used a PTI Soft Stone card stock background. I stamped the sentiment with those little wooden stick stamps you find for $1 at Michaels and added a little liquid applique to the image for some fun.
Here's the sketch....
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

Absolutely beautiful - love love love them tfs!!!
Great cards, Carol, but you know that I love, love, love that first card...Pink being my favorite color, and me liking lace and crochet...what's not to like? But every time I see that doily stamp, I get upset with myself, I have that stamp and have not even inked it yet...but today, you have definitely inspired me...it is coming out and I am going to use it. Hope you have a great weekend...Blessings, Jill
