I combined several challenges to make this card for Dad. My dad has been gone for over 30 years, but I still think of him on father's day and appreciate all the years that he was in my life. This card will go into my next OWH box.
I used a cool new hexagon border die I just got from Simon Says Stamp yesterday, and cut 3 panels in black, grey and red and layered them on kraft. The sprightly sprockets dies are from SB and they're layered on a SB circle die and embellished with silver brads. The newsprint dsp is from SU! and the sentiment was done with my Quickutz dies in red & black cardstock. I'm entering this into the following challenges:
WT379 Man Up challenge - make a masculine card
PSC36 Father's day color story - father's day card with a sentiment on front
FMS39 Freshly Made Sketch challenge - not sure how "clean & fresh" the lines
are, but I'll enter it anyway.
Ok, that's going to do it for me today. Have a super Thursday everyone!!
Carol

I love your card and the fact that you still make a card for your dad even though he's been gone for over 30 years. That's gotta take lots of courage! I saw you're gonna send it to a soldier with Operation Write Home. He will love it! Great job and good luck in all the challenges you entered it in! :)

Thanks for playing with us @ The Perfect Sentiment.
Excellent representation of our color story and The Perfect Sentiment. Wow such a unique card. Love it.
I love your card and have a question about the die you used. Did it cut the outside edge all the way around the die or did you cut it out? I bought this die and it does not cut out the outside edge it only cuts out the hexagons.
