Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge #110

Here's the sketch for challenge #110 over on the Stars & Stamps blog.

And here's the card I made for the challenge. I've had this image colored and in my stash for a long, long time, so this morning I pulled it out and actually used it to make a card! I have stickle accents all over the cake and candles, but I'll cover them with glossy accents to seal them before sending it off to OWH. I embossed the scrap of purple cardstock with a CB birthday ef, and added some computer generated tiny tags with mini brads in keeping with the sketch. The tags are fastened down with dimensionals. This card was quick and easy, and I need to dig into my stash of started projects and use them more often!
Thanks for stopping by and have a super Sunday! I'm SO geared up for the big season opener NASCAR race at Daytona today, and I'll probably catch some of the Oscars awards show tonight, so it's going to be a TV day here at our house!
Take care!

Carol

What a sweet card! You must be up bright and early to already have a card done and posted! :)

I'm slow today, but looking forward to making some cards later!!

Love your purple choices! :)

Carol, this is super cute. You are really going to brighten up someone's day with this one. I love how you made your little tags with the brads. I've been busy packing up my OWH box this morning (no cards made yet) and if I get a minute I'll make a card, but it's RACE day so probably not. YAY for NASCAR, Go Tony!! I'm going to make some chicken wings and sit down for the rest of the day.

Cute, cute, cute!!! This card is adorable Carol. You must've been up early this morning.. My family is on our way out the door to church right now.. hoping to play along later today.. but the Daytona 500 is on and my husband said there might be rain, so playtime might happen! Thank you for sharing this adorable card. ~ Pam

Images of little mice like this always make me laugh! I need to add another "cute" to this card as so many others have with their comments. And I love the colors you used, too :)

What a fun birthday card, Carol! If I'm correct, your NASCAR event was flooded out. Sorry about all that rain Sunday but I'm sure you enjoyed it later.
