Continuing with the VCMP challenges over on the Stars and Stamps blog, this card is for challenge #5 to make a birthday card. I've had this stamped image in my folder for a long time, so I colored it and made it into a masculine birthday card. I used taken with teal and early espresso card stock to accent the image and sponged tumbled glass ink to create the sky. Sentiment is by Inkadinkado.
This card was made for the VCMP challenge #6 to use the colors of blue and tan to represent sand and sea. I'm using a digi image from the very generous Sliekje who offers all her images for free. I colored this with Copics, and added a sentiment from the SNSS Your Friendship stamp set. The background was embossed with a Sizzix ef, and the sentiment panel was done with Spellbinders grommet tags. A few brass brads and ribbon, and this was done.
Lastly, this is my card for the Stars and Stamps mid-week throwdown to make an Easter card. The image I'm using is a free digi image from OWH that Sandy made. I had it colored for a long time and now I finally made a card with it. I didn't think this card needed any sentiment, because the cross and lily image pretty much speaks for itself. The colors used were pale plum and plum pudding, and the die cut border is from SNSS and was threaded with some ivory satin ribbon to match the ivory cardstock used for the image.
There will be two new challenges posted later this evening, and hopefully I'll be able to play along again and finish a few more cards that will fill up my box so I can send it to OWH soon!
If you're looking for the Crazy4Cocoa challenge, it's one post below this one:)
Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful Thursday!
