The mid-week challenge over at the
Stars and Stamps blog this week is to use something crafty that you got for Christmas and/or make an any occasion card. I won a Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue paper & embellishment pack that arrived a week before Christmas, so I'm using all my new goodies from that package for this card. The figure of the woman is a chipboard piece that was included among the embellishments. I made the chevron strip by following
Jennifer McGuire's tutorial. I thought the chevron would be too tedious to create, but I found it very relaxing and a lot of fun to see the final result. I'll be doing this more often I'm sure! The card stock base is SU! Pale Plum (retired) and the sentiment is from SU! Upsy Daisy stamp set.

This is beautiful Carol! I am so going to try your chevron technique. I use to quilt and have used it in quilts, but this is almost instant gratification. your card is really pretty card!TFS
