MFW Map to your Heart Challenge

I'd been wanting to play along with this challenge ever since I saw it posted over on the Moxie Fab World blog. The challenge is to use road maps in an innovative way. One of the sample cards has a heart on it, and I also used a heart, but mine has a different twist. Mine was inspired by the song "I Left my Heart in San Francisco." I put a heart brad underneath the town's name and added a few tickets to indicate travel. The background is PTI Soft Stone card stock, and I stamped it with an element stamp from the SU! Open Sea set in Pumice Stone ink, masking and turning every which way. {click the picture to enlarge it to see the detail} I added a cool piece of mesh and stamped the sentiment on a piece of Crumb Cake card stock that was torn & sponged with antique linen and vintage photo inks. For the final touch, I added a couple tiny star stickers on the coral ticket. This is going into my next OWH box and I think it's perfect for someone who's far away from home, especially one who might live in San Francisco!
If you have any old road maps you're not using, why not play along with this challenge? If you click here, you'll see some incredibly innovative ways the participants used road maps for their creations!
Enjoy your evening :)

Hi Carol, This card is just fabulous. I LOVE the mesh you used and what a great idea you had in placing your heart under SF on the map. Your idea to use the Open Sea stamp the way you did was such a great choice. It gives the whole card a worldly feel. If there is more than one hero from SF they may start their own little war to see who can get their hands on the card first. HAHA. Your sentiment seems like it was made just for this card.
A true winner!!
