Friends of mine lost their beloved dog recently, so I made them this card. I used a PTI stamp set for the sentiment and paw prints on the heart. This was done with white and cool caribbean card stock, adding a spellbinders fancy tag die for the sentiment panel, along with 2 small punched hearts. The embossed hearts background was done with a Sizzix ef, and I used the Scor-pal for the lower panel. The dog bone clip is from my stash.
Losing a pet is such a sad time, especially when you've had a companion for many years - which was the case here. I hope this card brought some comfort during such a difficult time.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
Carol

Awww, how sad! I know one day i'm gonna have to go thru that as my Fluffy just turned 14. She is just like one of my kids and we LOVE her to pieces!
Anyways, i'm so sorry for your friends loss. This card is beautiful and i'm sure it will bring much comfort to them....
Carol, This card is just over the top fabulous. I know you brought a bit of ahhpines to your friends. Losing a pet is devestating but it does help to know that there are caring people like you thinking about them. Looking at your card just brings out a soft, sweet, kind feeling in me as I'm sure it did with your friends. Thanks for sharing this with all of us.
So pretty. Yes, it's awful to lose a pet but know they'll love this pretty card. Like that little dog bone clip you here and of course the heart and all the embossing.

Very sad...I've been through it. This card is beautifully made and the sentiment in so sweet. I love that gorgeous cool caribbean card stock...one of my favorite colors.
Carol, I know the recipient of this card is going to appreciate your thoughtfulness on so many levels. This card is gorgeous. I hate it's for a sad occasion, but I'm sure the card will lift their spirits.
Carol it is so sweet that you made a sympathy card for someone who lost a pet. A lot of people just do not understand how hard that is. Your card is absolutely gorgeous! I love everything about it!
Sadly, I too had to make one of these cards this past weekend. Jim's boss had to put down their beloved Tucker. I think he was a Golden. They had gone vet poor with the old lad, but alas it was to no improvement. Your card is quite elegant in style, and I just know they were comforted by your thoughtfulness.
Oh my goodness, what a Sweet card! I love the pretty embossing and the way you used the fancy tags and ribbon for the sentiment. The bone clip is such a great touch. I'm sure they will really appreciate your beautiful card!
THIS... *gasp!* Is so WONDERFUL, Carol! Oh, my heart is squeezed, for I know this pain all too well - the price we pay for the deepest of friendship. I'm CERTAIN this elegant piece will bring relief to your friends. You are delightful!
Pretty card, Carol, I'm sure it brought comfort to your friends.
This is perfect! What a darling tribute to their beloved dog!
