There's a last call for Valentine cards over at the Stars and Stamps blog today. Valentine cards must be received by the OWH shippers by December 31st in order for them to reach our soldiers in time to send home. I sent my small package of Valentines earlier this week. I didn't get to make quite as many as I wanted to, but I sent what I'd completed.
This card uses that herringbone technique I posted on Monday's card. I cut strips from the design and thought they looked pretty cool with an embossed heart panel, so this was a very simple and quick card to make. The dp is from BoBunny & Bella Boulevard, and the sentiment was done with an unknown wood stamp I've had for quite a while.
I made this sample card for the S&S blog today, using Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso cardstock. I embossed the die-cut heart with a swiss dots ef and the red background with the SU! square lattice ef. The white card base was done with a hearts ef. The heart and keys were done with a MS punch and coated with glossy accents, and the keys were attached with a sparkly red brad.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Wow...that's about all I can say... wow!
You are using that herringbone technique in so many wonderful ways. It made a super Valentine card and I love the heart and keys on the other one. Both are super duper.
Both cards are just lovely and make perfect Valentines.
