I made this card for the Stars&Stamps MWT challenge to create a Thanksgiving card, and I also used the great sketch from SC336. Honestly, I love simple sketches because they're so easy to work with, and yet I always seem to make more work for myself than I should! I ended up paper piecing these pumpkins because I thought they'd look better, and I'm also trying to use up the tons of scraps I have. I'm happy with the way it turned out, but I wish I could simplify my life in this regard! LOL The stamps used are from MFP Thankful Mums & Pumpkins and all the dp scraps are retired from SU! I used card stock scraps for the punched leaves using EK & MS punches. The acorns were die cut and sponged with Memento Potters Clay ink. I tied a tiny piece of copper cording to the stems and this card was done! I flipped the sketch only because the pumpkins looked all wrong at the top of the card.
It's going to feel like it's over 100 degrees outside today, so I'll be inside playing at my craft table. I hope it's cool wherever you are today. It's not even summer yet, and our temps are this hot, so what will this summer have in store for us I wonder? Whew!!
Have a fabulous day doing whatever you're doing!

Thanks for playing in our Thanksgiving challenge at Operation Write Home!
I LOVE this---looking at it makes me feel a tiny bit cooler!!!
Carol, this is so "COOL" looking. LOL We need something cool today. It is over 90 already and tomorrow it is suppose to be even hotter.
Anyway I love the card and you did such a great job paper piecing. I love those acorns also. I have to run off to an appointment, but I hope to get back and try to make my card for the MWT. Talk to you later.Stay cool.
Great card Carol! I love your pumpkins!! Summer is just starting and I'm already ready for fall :)
You are SO cute, Carol! I'm sorry the heat is getting to you out there - we're JUST begining to warm up, as if it's not winter...{WHAT a bizarre year it's been!} THIS card makes me feel like pulling on an extra sweater, though {kind of like last week - when I was joking about getting pumpkins, due to the RAIN and cold.. doh!} Anyway, it's adorable! And as one who ALWAYS makes extra work for myself, I FELLS you pain! But, then LOOK how worth it, it was! The extra effort is ALWAYS worth it! Great work, sweet gal! xoxoxo!
Carol,
This is absolutely stunning! It really has a timeless beauty about it. I am definitely keeping this in my "inspiration" folder.

Yes, I have been staying inside too. Hubby finally put the A/C in...and I am so grateful that we have it. Don't know how anyone manages without it...although that was us for a lot of years...LOL
Luv luv luv the pumpkins. The faloling leaves are a nice touch!
Love the paper piecing! Totally awesome card.
Gorgeous Carol! I'm so glad to see other's making cards for the fall/winter holidays. I just made a Christmas card this week. It's so easy to get behind and it just creeps up on you.
Oh, that's pretty, Carol! Makes me think of cooler autumn weather...which, right now, sounds pretty delightful!
For some reason, it would not let me comment on this gorgeous card the first few times I tried. Are you thinking to fall to be cooler? LOL! Love the sketch and the paper piecing!
Your card is so pretty, Carol! I love the fall colors against the crisp white, and the paper-pieced pumpkins. I know what you mean about wanting to simplify...but your card is well worth all your effort!
Oh beautiful creation!!!Carol...it is so darned cold here...wearing my coat zipped up to my chin...wish you would share some degrees!
Great card! I love how the sentiment is place in the 'break' it draws the eye right to it. Nice job.
