Sunday Stamping

This card was done for the Sweet Stop sketch challenge #106. I stamped this image a few days ago and just left it lying around, so today I made it into a card. It looks more like fall than summer, but I like these colors together. I stamped the image with versamark black ink, then embossed it with clear detail ep and sponged the colors on it while it was in the die. The smaller flowers were stamped on DP and embossed, then hand cut and popped up with foam tape. The stamps are by Sweet'nSassy, using serene silhouettes and Poppies and Greetings for the sentiment. DP is summer sun by BG and Que sera sera by K&Co. Embossed panel behind the main image was done with a SU! square lattice ef and the embossing on the gold panel was done with a Tim Holtz bricked ef.
This simple card was done for the Stars & Stamps sketch challenge #67. I used some basic grey dp and a CB embossing folder, adding some large & small tag punches for the sentiment. Sentiment is by MFP and I added some tiny star stickers and an eyelet on the tag. The tag is attached with a piece of bakers twine and I used a ribbon from my stash.
That will do it for me today, so have a great Sunday!

Love both of yours cards. On your first card, I also like those colors together. All of the papers go so well together and I really like the different embossing folders you used on this one. The little flowers are adorable. The S & S card turned out great. I love, love, love, the My Dad tag with the stars that go so well with the embossed stars on the background. The ribbon and paper go terrific together. I also have made 6 "Dad" cards this morning. This must be the magic number for today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I love, love, love (is that too much?) what you did with your stamping on the first card! It looks like a good project to try sometime soon. I had to laugh when I saw your card for the sketch, because I have that paper, that embossing folder and even that ribbon! How easy will that one be for me to case?.....

Carol, both cards are lovely, I really like how you did the background on the first...Hopefully, you will show me how you did that...hint, hint...smile. Carol, did you see that the card that you made me for my birthday that I posted at SCS was named in the "favorites" thread at SCS? Second, I also posted the Easter Card that you gave me on my blog today. Thanks again, Carol...

These are just wonderful, Carol! You have been busy today! I had to spend some time with the DH since he just got home, but I did play with the markers and the solid stamps like you did. Just didn't make them into anything yet. Congrats on what Jill had to say!
