Pinwheels and Plaid

I made this card to meet 2 challenges for today. I thought I was being very clever combining both the WT317 challenge along with StampinB's #105 challenge, but I read one thing and my brain took a path of it's own! LOL The WT317 challenge is to use decorative scissors, but since I gave them all to my DGD some time ago, I just used a SU border punch instead. The StampinB's challenge is to use navy & green, plus add either stripes, dots or plaids. I inked up my plaid ef with blue and green and finished the card with these pretty shades of blue and green. When I was about to post it, I noticed the challenge was NAVY and green!!! DUHhhhhhhh!!! This isn't the first time I've done this, but I guess it's going to be OK, because I actually like how the card turned out in spite of my big "oops" moment!! LOL
If I find time, I'll try working on another NAVY and green card and hopefully I'll get it right the next time! LOL
Have a happy Thursday!

Carol

Great card, Carol, I can so relate I have done things like that so many times. As to the decorative scissors...come to my house...I have a whole box of them...smile.

Carol, this card is adorable....a delight. I love your pinwheels and plaids. You wouldn't believe what all happened with me on this challenge. Too much to tell...and it was my challenge. Your card is great, navy or whatever blue. Glad you uploaded it.

I get carried away like that all the time, Carol! LOL! Glad you got that plaid ef. Don't you just love it? I think I finally have the mates figured out, and I did see the mate fly in but not switch. It just took off again.

Carol, I love this card and also the ones from yesterday. The colors are great. Sorry I haven't been commenting lately, but I've been helping my daughter move. I'm off again right now for the day again. It should be done by tonight or tomorrow. Have a good day.
