I made this card for the Joan's Gardens weekly challenge and this week it's really a big one!! This week's challenge #8 is being sponsored by JustRite stamps and they are giving away some amazing prizes! Check here for all the details and click on "weekly card challenge" at the top.For my card I used a JustRite Missing You stamp along with 2 outer borders. The sentiment and rings were embossed with Ranger gold ep. The shadow hides the pretty border on the kraft scalloped circle, but if you click the picture you can probably see the detail a bit better. Those strips were white cardstock that I embossed with gold and placed on either side of the black. DP is by BG, & the ric-rac border was done with an EK chain zig-zag punch. Those are faux brads on the sides that I made with a hole punch and some glossy accents. I used the Cuttlebug swiss dots ef and dotted the ric-rac and scallops with a fine black marker. I was trying to make a masculine card for my next OWH box, so I kept this one simple and plain.

Carol, I did enlarge your card and it is just gorgeous with all the gold detail...beautiful embossing. Wow! Great job, too, with all the dotting.Your card is so elegant and beautifully created.
This one is great, Carol. I love the color combinations. It is a layout that I like to use often. You faux brads make a nice statement along the sides. Very good dot work on the scallops and ric rac. I have never tried the Just right stamps but after seeing your creation, I will have to make another investment. LOL Are you ready for your coming rain?
