There are times when I emboss an A2 sized piece of cardstock, and then only use a portion of it for the card I'm working on, which leaves a lot of odds and ends of embossed pieces. This layout was from a recent sketch challenge I did, and it's perfect for those embossed pieces that might otherwise get thrown away. I stamped a scrap of plain white cardstock with Versamark, and embossed it with gold, then cut it into strips that I used to divide the panels. I also did the same thing around the edges of the sentiment mat, and embossed the sentiment with gold as well. This was quick and easy and I'll be making more of them. The embossing was done with the SU! lattice square, the Texture Fades damask, and a Sizzix ef. A little ribbon and gold beads completed this one!
I hope you're having a fabulous Friday! It's going to feel like spring outside today with highs near 70, but then there's a chance of snow again on Tuesday! I'll be enjoying the warm weather while it's here!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Carol, what a fabulous idea for the left over embossed pieces. And, the gold embossing strips make it look so elegant. Clever you! Beautiful font on that sentiment, too. It's a beauty!
We've been near 70's this week, also. But, like your area, things are supposed to be ugly again. Well, I guess it is still February.
Wonderful card Carol
