Joans Gardens #5

I finally completed a card for Joan's Garden's challenge #5. The requirements for this challenge are:
Use Coral/Pink and Green for your colors
A birthday sentiment
Vintage paper
Handmade or punched flower
I struggled with this challenge for quite some time, and finally scrapped everything and started over. Ever have one of those days?!?! I couldn't find any shades of pink & green that I was happy with, but I finally settled on some Shabby Vintage dp from Tim Holtz for my pink color. The green is celery dp and ribbon. The sentiment was done with basic grey ink on an EK punched pane and sponged with some tattered rose ink. The flower was made with 5 different paper patterns & 5 scallop punches, cut in toward the center, crushed, curled and distressed in every possible way, then held together with a large brad. The leaves were folded pieces of cardstock run through the crimper and hand cut. I used some pink and green gemstone bling from my stash for the final touch.
That will do it for me for this Saturday, so enjoy your weekend folks, and thanks for stopping by!

Carol, your flower is so pretty..great job. The crimped leaves are just perfect. I really like your sentiment piece, also. I wanted to tell you I shared your snow pictures and the 'On the Farm' card with my hubby. He loved the card and really thought the snow pictures were awesome.
