While browsing the challenge blogs earlier today I found this Just for Fun Color Challenge #23 and thought I'd play along. As soon as I saw the colors I thought I'd use my new SU! owl punch and here's my card!
Aren't these little guys the cutest ever?! I combined the SU! owl punch and bird punch to create these. I used the bird punch to make wings for the owls and the branches. The bowties were made with the fancy labels punch - I just punched one end in the punch, then turned it around and punched close to the first punch, snipping the ends off to make them look like little bowties. I know I know...you'll have to use your imagination a little here :)The owls are dressed up in embossed vests. For the male birds, I used the SU! square lattice ef, and for the girl I used the SU! petals a plenty. I added a couple 3mm HA pearls to her "dress." They all have glossy accents on their eyes to make them stand out. The background DP is from the Basics White BG paper pad, and the mat and ribbon are Real Red from SU! I sponged all the owls and wings with ColorBox toffee chalk ink. The sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers called "Owl Be Here."
