EHWCMD1 & 2

I played along with Ellen Hutson's CLASSroom today for World Card Making Day. They have 7 challenges for you to play along with and there are prizes involved, so click the link above and check it out! The first card (EHWCMD1) was a challenge by Cindy Lyles where she asks us to try and arrange three Inchie Squares (or one-inch squares) on a simple card, and stretch the image over the three squares. I used the Ever After stamp set, stamping the image on wc paper & coloring with markers. I cut it into 3 pieces and layered it on scraps of tangerine tango and hunter green, using a piece of Haiku dsp. The borders were punched on Hunter using the MS arch lattice punch and the sentiment is from Kind Thanks and stamped in Hunter green. Ribbon is from my stash. This card was made using Susan Roberts' sketch challenge EHWCMD2. I tweaked the sketch a bit and eliminated the small horizontal panel since my sentiment was already on the main image. I used a scrap of dsp from my stash, along with green, purple, black & some more tangerine tango for the card base. I used my scalloped scissors to notch the corners and added 3 halloween colored brads. The jack-o-lantern face was hand-drawn onto the smallest of the 3 Shapeabilites Blossoms. The skeleton was colored with glazepens, and I added 2 punched pieces of white for the eyes and dotted them with a black pen. The bottom border was punched using the MS goo punch, and the felt ric-rac was in my stash forevah!
I hope to get a few more of the challenges done before the deadline, but it was fun to play along with these 2 so far! I hope you're all enjoying WCMD wherever you are!
