There's a sketch challenge going on over at Flourishes to help usher in fall with their latest stamp release. The card doesn't have to be a theme for fall, but I went out on a limb and tried to use a summer flower stamp for a fall image. The drooping bud reminded me of when the weather turns cooler, stopping flower growth almost overnight. I stamped the Flourishes Poppy image with Versamark on wc paper, and then I used a mixture of malachite green, cornelian and brown ep's and embossed. I colored the image with wc pencils and a wet brush, sponging with caramel ink. The PTI bitty box dsp was stamped with a leaf image in white craft ink, but I didn't get the results I was looking for, so I added some cornelian ep and hit it with the heat gun. The Dusty Durango cardstock base was stamped with the Weathered backgrounder in Close to Cocoa. I used the spiral punch on the Kraft panel, added a KSS sentiment stamp and a piece of ribbon from my stash.
Flourishes is offering a chance to win all four of their new releases by playing along with this sketch, so what are you waiting for? Click the link above and check it out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Great card for fall. Love your colors and embossing. Nice touch with the spiral tear down the side...reminds us of back to school. Great idea with the use of the wilted look for the poppies. All in all, it rocks! Pat
