Silke came up with a wonderful sketch challenge for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge found here. I had to tweak the sketch a little bit because I had no room left for a sentiment on the bottom. I used this great stamp set Life, Love and Lemons that I won by posting a comment on the Flourishes blog during it's release week. I love working with these images and lately I find myself reaching for shades of yellow, where I rarely ever used that color at all! I stamped the image on wc paper with Versafine Onyx black ink, and colored it with Tombow markers. I covered the entire image with Versamark ink, embossed it with clear ep, and then cut it out and popped it up on the oval with dimentionals. I also made an extra leaf and placed that underneath the oval for added interest. The hardware is from SU! and it WAS antique brass until I versamarked that and dipped it in black ep and heated it. Now it's black and matches the brads. The dsp from SU! is a soft yellow tone which looks much better IRL than my photo shows. If you click on it, you can probably see the detail. The ribbon is may arts and the cardstock is PTI white.
Thanks for stopping by as always :)

Lovely take on the challenge. I especially like the dotted swiss touch that just makes such a sweet place for your lemon to rest. Very nice job
