Wheels

I needed to make a masculine birthday card for a family friend, so I pulled out the classic '57 Chevy image by ClearArtStamps from the "Car Classics" stamp set, because guys love cars. I like the old muscle cars too! I colored the image with a Copic B04, along with some gray and silver accents. I added a sentiment from the stamp set along with a pair of checkered flags (a brad) and die cut the piece(s) with my Big Shot and Lil Inker dies. The blue mat was colored with the same Copic marker to coordinate the colors.

Here's the inside which includes another sentiment from the same stamp set.

I'm adding this to the Cuttlebug Mania Challenge for September which is "wheels."

Thanks for stopping by again, as this is my 2nd post for the day! Enjoy!

Carol

The checkered flag brad is perfect for a '57 Chevy! Love the color you used for this too - and still wish I had one of those cars!

Great masculine card! Love the image and sentiment. You have reminded me that I have some shaped brads...must remember to check that drawer more often as your flag brad looks fabulous on this card.

Sorry not been by in so long but having some health problems.

Doubt if you could have made a better 'guy' card. Of course this fella will love this one! That flag brad is just the perfect embellishment, as you know...and I really like the stamped sentiment. Wonderful colors and ditto those stitched mats. A classic f'shore! TFS & Hugs

Such wonderful crisp colors. I love seeing the old classic cards myself. One time I was downshifting to stop at a red light. The light turned green so I let off the clutch and CHIRP went my tires. The classic muscle car in the other lane thought that meant I wanted to race. ROOOOOAAAARRRR... he just took off and left me in the dust. I was laughing. It was a gorgeous sight. Yeah, like I thought my wee 4-banger truck even had a chance.
